This is a big week. There come only a few times in one's life when so many things come together at the perfect time. A time when opportunity knocks and you have to decide whether or not you're going to risk failure in order to become better, or you're just going to play it safe. I always have a few goals that I'm always trying to attain. Some goals are monthly, some are bi yearly, and some goals are long term. One long term goal that will be coming to fruition this week is moving out of my parent's house to fully support myself. This goal has been on my list ever since 2008 when I left Allegheny College and my engineering degree behind to come home and attend Hofstra University to follow my passion for exercise.
It has been a longggg 12 month period leading up to now. In the last 12 months I've: received a 4.0 during my last semester at college, finished a 300 hour internship, earned my Certified Strength and Conditioning Cert, fallen in love, been on top of the world, hit all my strength goals, finished in the top 3% in both Civilian Military Combines, been heart broken, been lower than ever, all while supporting my lifestyle working at Equinox, PAPC, and waiting tables. At the end of the day, I've still been able to balance hard work with fun times. My summer - regardless of how financial-goal oriented it was - had no shortage of beaching, boarding, drinking, and good times.
It's finally time to prove what I'm made of and to start making real shit happen. Starting today, I'll be building my clientele from scratch. Intimidating to say the least, but I guess there's not really any time for doubt.
